PURPOSE

The Professional Development Delivery Committee is to provide training and information sessions to the federal real property community across Canada.

OBJECTIVES

The Professional Development Delivery Committee shall:

  • Consult the federal real property community to determine professional development needs; and,
  • Plan and stage national and regional workshops.

RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER COMMITTEES

The Committee reports to the Second Vice President. The Committee works closely with the Professional Development and Certification Committee, the Member Services Committee and the Fundraising Committee. The Committee receives assistance from the Executive Secretary.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Committee strives to fulfill its mandate through the following activities:

  • Development and management of an annual work plan as approved by the Board of Directors complete with scope, budget, timelines, key outcomes and monthly updates on matters pertaining
    to professional development activities;
  • Development, distribution and tabulation of results of a professional development needs assessment survey;
  • Development and maintenance of Service Level Agreements with educational institutions such as Seneca College and CoreNet;
  • Development of a professional development strategy and outlines the planning, coordination and delivery of workshops, training and information sessions across Canada; and
  • Production of a Professional Development Delivery Committee Report for inclusion in the RPIC Annual Report by September 30th of each year.

SECRETARIAT

The Willow Group will be responsible to support the Professional Development Delivery Committee, including the following:

  • Maintenance of annual budgets;
  • Assistance in the development of content for all print and electronic collateral;
  • Management of all pre-press production, graphic design and translation requirements for print and electronic collateral including the web site;
  • Assist in the development, distribution and tabulation of results of the needs assessment survey;
  • Assistance in establishing Service Level Agreements;
  • Management of the planning and staging of workshops, training and information sessions across Canada including marketing, registration, logistics, financials, etc.; and
  • Preparation of monthly updates and annual report.
