Shaw Centre, 55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON
November 20-22, 2018
On behalf of the Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) Board of Directors and the Planning Committee, we are pleased to welcome all participants to the 2018 RPIC Real Property National Workshop. This is an excellent learning and networking opportunity for federal real property professionals to interact with our many partners from other levels of government, academia, and the private sector.
The 2018 RPIC Real Property National Workshop (RPNW) theme is Real Property: a Catalyst for Transformative Innovation. In support of this theme, the program will offer streams in carbon neutrality, transformative innovation, policy/programs and indigenous engagement, strategic and/or modernized procurement and management as well as security and resilience. This combination of theme and streams builds on the successes of the 2017 RPNW but focuses more attention on bringing together real property 'innovators' to explore what can be practically done to implement the Government of Canada's ambitious Greening Government Strategy, indigenous engagement, risk mitigation and climate change objectives. This fusion of ideas has been designed to appeal to as broad a spectrum of real property and allied professionals as possible while inspiring further innovation in the planning, design and execution of real property projects/programs.
With the outstanding support of our senior leaders in the federal government, you will have the opportunity to learn about and be inspired by the exceptional work that is being undertaken and their vision for the future.
The Workshop will consist of a Professional Development Day that will offer in-depth training (November 20) and a two-day Workshop (November 21 and 22) that will feature sessions delivered by industry experts including: the ever-popular Senior Executive Panel Discussion sessions; a tradeshow that will bring innovative services, products, and new tools to the community's attention; and, our Awards and Recognition Evening where we will shine the spotlight on the achievements of your colleagues in the real property community.
A special thank you to our many Workshop partners for ensuring the continued success of this important professional development initiative.
