OBJECTIVES
The 2012 RPIC Federal Contaminated Sites National Workshop will
provide a forum for the contaminated sites community to learn about
technical, scientific and organizational innovations, and best
practices for the management of contaminated sites. The Workshop
will offer a unique opportunity for the public, private, and academic
sectors to meet and exchange new ideas and information with colleagues
and industry representatives from across the country and abroad.
The Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC)
and the Contaminated Sites Management Working Group invite you
to submit presentations
on technologies and issues related to the assessment, remediation
and management of federal contaminated sites. Abstracts are encouraged
in, but not limited to the following topics:

ABSTRACTS
Abstracts should be no more than 500 words and must include
biographies for all presenters The abstract may be submitted
in English
or French and must be submitted by email to RPIC_FCSNW@thewillowgroup.com.
Note: One discounted delegate pass for
the workshop will be made available for each accepted presentation.
Additional presenters
will need to register at the full rate.
Guidelines for submitting abstracts:

Title of Presentation
•
Name and affiliations of all presenters
•
Complete contact information of presenter or organizer
•
Biographies for all presenters
•
Type of presentation: oral or poster
•
Topic addressed by your presentation
•
Language of presentation
Abstracts will be selected for inclusion
in the preliminary program on the basis of a peer review by a
panel of experts.
FINAL PRESENTATIONS
PowerPoint (PPT) presentations must be submitted for review
by subject experts. Authors of accepted presentations must
revise
their PPT presentations as required by the reviewers. Revised
PPTs are to be submitted by e-mail and must be accompanied
by copyright waivers signed by all authors listed on the
abstract.
PPTs missing copyright waivers cannot be presented at the National
Workshop. The transcripts of the workshop presentations will
be made available to all paid registrants at the National Workshop
in place of the technical papers provided in past years.
OFFICIAL
LANGUAGES
Initial abstracts may be submitted in English or French.
All final abstracts and presentations crediting federal
government
employee authors must be submitted in English and French.
The translation may follow the revised final version.
