Robert Brule, Brûlé, Project Leader, Long Term Accommodation Project, Communication Security Establishment Canada

Robert Brûlé joined the Communications Security Establishment (CSE, then CBNRC) in 1971 and held various analytical positions until 1978. In 1978 he became Executive Assistant to the Chief. He was appointed Senior Planner, Office of Strategic Planning in 1982 and was assigned Comptroller in 1983. Robert was appointed Director of the Administration and Finance Group in March 1986, and Director Soviet Production Group in 1988. In August 1990, he became Canadian Special Liaison Officer/Washington and in 1994, was appointed Director of International Political and Economic Production Group. In January 1988, Robert assumed the position of Director General SIGINT Operations until he was appointed Deputy Chief of SIGINT Operations in August 2000. In April 2006, Robert retired from CSE with 35 years government service. In December 2007, he assumed the role of Project Leader for CSE's Long Term Accommodation Project. Robert attended the University of Ottawa and was awarded an Honours B.A. in History in 1971.
